PACO VENTURA - Black Moon (2015)

Paco Ventura es el guitarrista de los Medina Azahara , y entre muchos compromisos saca tiempo para montarse un proyecto paralelo como es Black Moon , su otra banda y que cuenta con unos colaboradores de lujo , solo hay que ver el cartel.

Es un álbum alegre , de Rock de toda la vida , sin más pretensiones , sonido : Deep Purple , Rainbow , Kansas ... imposible sonar más clásico , quizás Paco en su proyecto está más libre que en Medina Azahara , y abarca muchos más estilos . El álbum tiene muy buenos cortes , como el "Black Moon" , un tema que me suena mucho a Axel Rudi Pell en la etapa Jeff Scott Soto , quitando sus primeros álbumes, quizás la mejor etapa del guitarrista teutón .

"El Final" es un medio tiempo con una gran labor en los teclados, suena a " Perfect Strangers " de los Purple y también a los Rata Blanca , es un álbum muy cuidado , con buen sonido y unos grandes arreglos , estoy seguro de que cuando lleve estos temas al directo va a levantar mucha expectación .

Melodía total con "Solo por ti" , quizás lo malo es que todo es muy clásico y te recuerda a alguna banda grande , por ejemplo , a mi este tema me recuerda al " Rescue You " de Joe Lee Turner , pero es que el Rock es el único género que sigue igual desde hace 20 años .

En "Black Moon" participa John Norum, en cuanto a "El Juego" , el invitado estrella es el señor Patrick Rondat , un muy buen guitarrista del progresivo . Uno de mis temas favoritos es "Despiértame" , tiene unos ritmos mucho más oscuros , quizás más progresivos .

Un corte divertido es el dueto en las guitarras de "En Tu Piel" , estoy de acuerdo con Paco , Bruce Kulick es el mejor guitarrista que pasó por Kiss y por supuesto suena algo a Kiss , y a Rock clásico español de toda la vida, muy Barón Rojo . Es imposible desligarse de Medina Azahara y esos aires tan andaluces y orientales tan característicos de esa banda surgen en temas como "Frágil Cristal" . Un tema que me devuelve a la juventud es "Por ti Volaré" , un corte que te transporta a los ochenta cuando Manzano emulaba a los Whitesnake .

Dos de los temas estrellas son en los que participa Turner , el eterno cantante ex Rainbow ... que hizo todo lo posible para subirse al tren de los Rainbow , pero no pudo ser para él , el arisco Blackmore no cuenta con él , de todas formas a mi Turner me parece el mejor cantante de Hard Rock / AOR de siempre , y Ventura le deja unos temas que le quedan como anillo al dedo .

En definitiva que si amas el sonido de los Rainbow , Deep Purple , Kansas , Whitesnake , Barón Rojo , Medina Azahara , Uli John Roth , Axel Rudi Pell y la carrera de Turner en solitario o con colaboraciones , este es tu disco , no hay nada nuevo , pero es un producto de lujo para clasicómanos incurables .
