Mike Portnoy ( ex-Dream Theater , Sons of Apollo , Flying Colors ) ha publicado este mensaje , junto con un vídeo en directo como homenaje a Neil Peart , batería de Rush, fallecido recientemente :

“ Un último homenaje a Neil y Rush …..

A lo largo de todos mis años en Dream Theater , como escritor del tracklist de la banda , a menudo incluía versiones únicas de Rush en las listas de canciones . Era una tradición cada vez que tocamos en Toronto cuando lancé ‘Jacobs Ladder’ , ‘A Passage to Bangkok’ y ‘The Camera Eye’ a lo largo de los años en nuestros shows en Toronto . También cubrimos ‘Different Strings ’, ‘Tears’ y extractos de ‘Working Man’ , ‘By Tor And The Snow Dog’ , ‘The Analog Kid’ , ‘2112 Grand Finale’ y ‘La Villa Strangiato’ a través de los años .

Pero hubo una tarde en el verano de 2003 cuando estábamos tocando en el Anfiteatro Jones Beach en Nueva York, que decidí lanzar una piedra preciosa de Rush muy profunda al público que les pilló desprevenidos ..… y más tarde esa Navidad, publiqué un video de mis archivos para compartirlo con todos como regalo de vacaciones .

Creo que con el fallecimiento de Neil parece un momento oportuno para volver a compartir esta rareza DT de mis archivos como un tributo a nuestras mayores influencias y a nuestro héroe caído ..… aquí está la versión de DT de 2003 del corte profundo clásico de 1975 de Rush : 'The Necromancer' " .
