Hace poco he recuperado este disco (doble) en formato digital (doble CD ) ….. es una joyita que te la quiero dedicar a ti , Minik !!! Mil&1besitos , Corazón !!!

Antes de convertirse en Art y después en Spooky Tooth, el cantante y guitarrista Mike Harrison, el bajista Greg Ridley o el guitarrista Luther Grosvenor formaron parte de los VIPS, proyecto pop surgido en la población de Carlisle que en sus inicios también conto con la participación del teclista Keith Emerson, posteriormente en The Nice y Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

El grupo grabó un single en RCA y un par en Island que en este The Complete V.I.P.s se agrupan junto con otras canciones grabadas en la mitad de los años 60, entre ellas “I Wanna Be Free”, medio tiempo blues rock que adaptaba un corte de Joe Tex, “Straight Down To The Bottom” o “Anyone”, canción rítmicas con coros en armonías que significan sus influencias R&B, “In A Dream”, balada soul, la canción pop “Winter Time”, o “Don’t Let It Go”, un tema que parece mezclar a los Small Faces con los Righteous Brothers.
