The Rebels – Mafia (2017)
"Mafia" es el título del primer videoclip adelanto del nuevo álbum de The Rebels que comparte nombre con el disco y que verá la luz el 27 de octubre de 2017 (Red Fox Music).
En este tercer LP han contado de nuevo con Roberto Peromingo (Littleclip) para la dirección y realización de este primer vídeo. La estética del clip está inspirada en el Cine expresionista alemán de finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX. Haciendo guiños al Gabinete del Doctor Caligari, del maestro Fritz Lang, se busca narrar una historia en la que se critica una sociedad cada vez más cercana al amiguísimo y más lejana a la sana competencia. Con una iluminación propia del movimiento vanguardista germano, con luces direccionadas a los personajes desde arriba y desde abajo, The Rebels se convierten en marionetas manejadas por un titiritero, que a su vez es controlado por un mafioso despiadado, todo contado en tono humorístico y riéndose de si mismos.
En este primer single The Rebels ha contado con las colaboraciones de Jesús Antúnez de Dover a la batería y de Kjetil Hallre de Sala and the strange sounds a los coros.
Después de dos años, la banda madrileña reaparece con más fuerza que nunca estrenando "Mafia". Se trata de un tema de rock alternativo con un estribillo súper pegadizo (hello, hello) , que parece que hubieran hecho a propósito para decirnos que están aquí y vienen para quedarse.
