Empty Glass fue el primer disco solista de Pete (sin contar Who Came First ya que es un compilado) y resulto ser una joya increible.Algunas canciones compuestas en guitarra, otras en piano, casi todas tienen fuerte presencia de sintetizadores, instrumento con el que Townshend estaba fascinado desde el año 1972.
