El nombre escogido por esta banda ya llama la atención pues "Whispering Pines" es el título de un tema de The Band de su albun de 1969. Discazo de rock americano y de los buenos.Es su albun debut grandes cosas se le deparan a esta banda si sigue este camino, hacen una version de "Crazy Mamma" de JJ Cale. Bueno mejor lo escuchais y opinais sobre el.A mi me parece un buen disco

Bobby Charles - Timeless 2010

Falleció, en Enero, a los 71 años, en su domicilio de Abbeville, Louisiana, Bobby Charles, autor de clásicos sureños estadounidenses como “See You Later Alligator” o “Walking to New Orleans”.

No trascendió las causas de su muerte , aunque en los últimos años venía sufriendo numerosos problemas de salud, como, cáncer, diabetes, problemas de espalda y otros por una caída.

Fue una leyenda del estilo “swamp pop”, fusionado con la tradicional música cajún de Louisiana con rock and roll, folk y R&B, conocido en la década de los ‘50 con la grabación de “See You Later Alligator” en 1955.

La canción llegó a estar en el puesto 14 en los éxitos de Rhythm and Blues de la época, pero, el tema que lo mantuvo popular, un año después fue Bill Haley & the Comets con su versión más pop.

En 1960, se destacó con “Walking to New Orleans” que triunfaría con la voz de Fast Domino.

Charles escribió, en la década de los ’70, “The Jealous Kind”, que grabó Joe Cocker en 1976, y al que siguieron Ray Charles, Delbert McClinton, Etta James y Johnny Adams.

Su último trabajo propio, lo estrenó en 2008, “Homemade Songs”, y terminaba de hacer el álbum “Timeless”, que salio a la venta con carácter póstumo a finales de febrero.

Babos Gyula is the most representative guitar player of the Hungarian jazz life, the driving force of the modern Hungarian improvisative music. “…If you do not know his play, you simply lose colours from the palette of existence and revelation, and they will never get back to you after the moment when the magic fades away…” His band, the Babos Project Special represents a peculiar synthesis of electronic jazz and roma music. Babos, as typical to him, selected the most talented young musicians for the band.
