APORTE DE WATTS
Este conjunto de tres albumes es muy difícil de conseguir, lo conocí a los 12 años por un amigo que me lo dejó grabar en un viejo cassette hitachi de 90 minutos (morado, era sagrado para mí. No tenía la parte de Miles Davis porque se había dañado la cara del lp. Les recomiendo mucho la presentación de Alvin Lee, es delirante su versión en vivo de I Can‘t Keep From Cryin‘ Sometimes, lo deja a uno verdaderamente pasmado de su improvisación de principio a fin. He oido otras versiones pero esta definitivamente es la mejor, Mountain ofrece una presentación deslumbrante que recuerdo con mucho cariño y pasión. De igual manera la presentación de Cactus es de las mejores que he oido, creo que estaban delirantes ese día. Este es un rip de vinil. Aahí va este recuerdo de infancia que me cambió parte de mi existencia como guitarrista y escritor.

Marcus Hook Roll Band fue una banda australiana de Rock de un sólo album , éste “ Tales of Old Grand Daddy “ , publicado en 1973 y que hoy os ofrecemos en éste , tu BLOG amigo …….
El Grupo , formado un año antes por George Young ( vocalista , guitarrista , pianista y bajista ) , Harry Vanda ( guitarrista principal y vocalista ) , lo completaban Alex Young y Howard Casey ( saxofonistas ) , Angus y Malcolm Young ( guitarristas ) , Freddie Smith y John Proud ( bateristas ) e Ian Campbell ( bajista ) . Destacar la presencia de unos jovencísimos Angus y Malcolm Young ( hermanos pequeños del mayor de la saga , George , fallecido también el pasado 22 de Octubre ) que fundaron más tarde nuestros adorados AC/DC .
Valga esta publicación como sentido y reconocido homenaje a Malcolm Young , que falleció el pasado 18 de Noviembre a la edad de 64 años , en Lulworth House en Elizabeth Bay ( Australia ) .
Al concluir el Black Ice World Tour , Malcolm fue diagnosticado con cáncer de pulmón . Se trató en una etapa temprana , por lo que la cirugía fue exitosa y se eliminó el cáncer , y aunque el motivo de la muerte aún no ha sido revelado , problemas cardíacos ( llevaba un marcapasos ) junto a la aflicción por el reciente fallecimiento de su hermano mayor , George Young hace casi un mes y sus problemas de demencia senil y pérdida de memoria , se presumen como fatales detonantes de su muerte .
El ROCK sigue quedándose huérfano ……. Long Live Rock !!!

Un bajo distorsionado y grueso , acompañado de una voz saturada de fuzz , una armónica rabiosa y un estribilllo caótico con un coro tribal que hacen pensar en qué pasaría si Iggy Pop y Robert Johnson se cruzasen de noche en un callejón y resolvieran algunos asuntos pendientes .
