Rare Earth fue un gran grupo de los '70, que se decantaba por la fusión entre el hard-rock, jazz y R&B, un hito que marcó a toda una generación.
Rare Earth In Concert es un album en directo, lanzado en 1971, cuya funda a modo de mochila contiene dos discos de vinilo de 33'.

Integrantes:
-Gil Bridges (voces, saxo, y flauta)
-Ray Monette (guitarra y voces)
-John Persh (bajo y voces)
-Pete Rivera (batería y voz principal)
-Mark Olson (teclados y voces)
-Ed Guzman (congo y percusión)

I Just Want to Celebrate, abriendo el disco encontramos una de sus canciones más famosas.
Hey Big Brother, tremendamente funky, con un bajo que hizo a un gran grupo.
Born to Wander, con el uso de la flauta dulce, es un tema extraño. Y grande.
Get Ready, oh, el gran tema de Rare Earth en todos los sentidos: por su calidad y por su duración (23 minutos y algo). El estribillo con el punteo de guitarra es mítico. La percusión, difícilmente comparable (quizás con el de In-A-Gadda-Da-Vidda, de Iron Butterfly?
What'd I Say, grandes armonías entre riffs y graves.
Thoughts, temazo instrumental.
(I Know) I'm Losing You, segundo tema más largo del disco con 14 minutos.
Nice to Be with You, un tema que parece no encajar con el resto del album. Un bonustrack de estudio, balada a guitarra acústica.

Rare Earth, un gran grupo que en su momento fue uno de los magnánimos del escenario, pero hoy sobrevive dando pequeños conciertos en eventos.

Banda irlandesa de blues-rock liderada por Rory Gallagher ( voz y guitarra ) ... completan el trio , Charlie McCracken ( bajo ) y John Wilson ( bateria ) ... tras la senda de los CREAM de Eric Clapton , fué un excelente grupo de corta vida , aunque " lo bueno si breve ... " y tuvieron tiempo para dejarnos este gran album que no envejece a pesar de sus cuarenta añitos recien cumplidos.
